Massage Ball
Beyond Power Massage Balls Small, dense silicone balls for the work a foam roller can't do. Drop one under your foot before a lift, pin one against a wall to open up a tight pec, or sit on one after a long drive and slowly work through your glute until it lets go. The fluted ridges catch soft tissue instead of sliding off it, so you can hold pressure where you want it.
Each pack ships with two (one in Mint, one in Slate) so you can keep one at your desk and one in the gym bag, or use a pair together.
Where it works
- Feet. Roll slowly from heel to toe. A good wake-up for the plantar fascia before training, and a reset for anyone who stands all day.
- Pecs and front delts. Pin against a wall, lean in, and work the spots that build up from desks and bench volume.
- Glutes and hips. Sit on it for the glute, lie on your side for the TFL and IT band, or go face down to release the hip flexors.
- Between the shoulder blades. Roll along the rhomboids and upper traps.
- Forearms, calves, lats. Lay it on the floor and work the length of the muscle.
How it feels
- Firm enough to reach deep tissue, with enough give that you're not pressing into a rock. Silicone grips skin and fabric without slipping, holds up to sweat, and wipes clean with a damp cloth.
Why we made these
- Half the team sits at a desk all day building the VOLTRA, and our feet were falling asleep by 3pm. We started keeping a couple of these under our chairs to wake things up between meetings, then realized we were reaching for them before training too. Figured we'd make them properly and share.
